What FlickThreads collects

Account information includes your email address, display name, handle, sign-in-provider identity, and profile image or initials avatar. The service stores the ratings, watch history, lists, notes, friendships, comments, subscriptions, preferences, viewed media, reports, and integrations you choose to create.

FlickThreads also processes locale, timezone, application version, feature interactions, performance measurements, request identifiers, and error diagnostics. Privacy-filtered analytics excludes passwords, authentication payloads, email addresses, private notes, comment bodies, and raw search text. Session recording is disabled during the initial beta.

Google sign-in

Google sign-in supplies only the basic identity needed to authenticate you: your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile image. FlickThreads never receives your Google password. This data is used only for authentication, account continuity, and your selected FlickThreads profile identity—not for advertising or sale.

FlickThreads' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to provide and synchronize product features, personalize discovery and recommendations, secure the service, moderate abuse, diagnose failures, maintain backups, and fulfill export and deletion requests. FlickThreads does not sell personal information.

Information is shared only according to your public and collaboration choices, with service providers acting on FlickThreads' behalf, when you connect Google or Trakt, or when security or law requires it. Metadata providers do not intentionally receive your private lists, notes, comments, email address, or authentication credentials.

Retention and your choices

You can change profile and list visibility, manage social and integration state, export your account data, or request deletion. Deletion revokes sessions immediately and allows seven days for recovery. Private and user-owned data is then removed, retained discussion comments are anonymized, and deleted data ages out of encrypted logical backups within 30 days.

Children and changes

FlickThreads is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Material policy changes will be presented in the product or through another appropriate notice before new uses take effect.
